Our Story

As a direct response to the growing specific needs of people living within the local community, Rays of Hope was established in August 2015 as a community outreach project run by East Gate church in Elderslie, Renfrewshire.

Aimed at anyone with a cancer diagnosis, we offer a safe confidential environment where people can openly discuss their cancer experience with others sharing a similar journey. We provide a variety of services geared at improving the quality of life. These include exercise sessions, a walking group, social activities, craft and art classes, cookery demonstrations, a community choir, holistic therapy, counselling.

We are based at The Rainbow Centre, 27 Byres Road, Elderslie on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Whether dropping in for a cuppa and a chat or to participate in one of our many activities, details of which are listed in our WHAT’S ON, you would be most welcome.

If you have recently been diagnosed, are going through treatment, recovered lately or many years ago, or, perhaps, cared for a loved one through their cancer journey and feel the need for support, come along and join us.

If you would like any more information, please call us on 07305 747323.
